Hello peeps,
How do thee do?
Me? I'm fine I guess, I still haven't drowned in Hatfield, I think?
Yeah, I'm fine, On Mondays I draw naked guys, on Tuesday I play around with colors, on Wednesdays we get to see freaky videos from the last century, Thursdays are just long, it has both Flash and After Effects in it, +some lectures on how movies should be composed etc. in the end.
The rest of the week I get to play and/or have to work on asignment (of course) if I have a lot of work left, so I either give my xbox a spin or hang out with my fellow norwegian buds, watching a movie or whatnot, on those other days...
So, A quick review/impression of the games I've played is in order

Here we go :
- Tales of Vesperia
Mai Engrish ish verry gud, yes yes, firstly, I want to say that 2 of my "classics" in my book is Tales of Phantasia on the Snes (the GBA version was just butcherd btw) and Tales of Eternia on the PlayStation, so I was acctually kinda looking forward to this one to be frank, and, I think it's a pretty decent j-rpg, but it has some issues, yes the first thing is the bad Engrish, I just wish those games could either have the option to change to Japanese dialogue or Just have the text translated and not the dialogue, they always in most cases, do a half-assed job, but I can see past this, te story is'nt that bad, Yuri the main character is a little bit bad-ass, but sometimes I think he was more of an retard, but overall it was ok, the battle system is good, acctually its a bit clunky compared to Star Ocean : Last Hope, but, it gets the work done.
Quick look on the achievements, I really struggled with one secret mission, one where you have to hit a certain persons heart when he haunces over, tedious, but the problem with that achievement in my case was that the description of it didn't explain how to do it properly, irritating, but, overall the achievements are easy, just tedious

Music by Motoi Sakuraba, good good, not his best imo, but gets the work done, character design by the guy behind "Oh my Goddess!" but this don't acctually show that much in the game, I think the design for Raven and Judith is the ones most off in the game, Judith looks more like Urd from "Oh my Goddess" on the cover and Raven is more lecherous-looking I suppose? But he does the part in the story thou

But oh well
I liked it, don't understand why it has "collectors status" out there but, I can guess "because it was the most best-selling game in Japan blah blah blah, but, a decent game, moving on!
- FallOut 3 - game of the year Edition
I probably shouldn't do reviews of games I haven't finished yet, but i'm just giving you impressions in this case, and, lots of people have already played it I guess, and, I can agree, it's a awesome game, it's a "little bit" like an FPS, but, at its core it's an solid "classic" RPG, Your choices can sometimes effect the world and your character, but mostly the scenario is if you turn good or bad, I prefer my dish served good, holier-than-thou with killing bad guys and Super Mutants, I haven't even touched the DL-content stuff that is included in the game of the year edition, but, i'm looking towards it

Maybe you are to free to do whatever you want in general, but, it has a linear story in there somewhere, I like it when you have the opportunity to explore some, but, there is always a path you should follow in the end anyway, it's called "progression", which I feel that certain non-linear games made by the same company don't have EVEN THOU they are RPG's

(yes yes, you character still progresses, but the story don't), I like what Bethesda did with FallOut thou.
- Brutal Legend
By Tim Schafer, starring Jack Black, welcome to the age of Metal!

Awesome game, fun, a little bit clunky sometimes, but overally fun to play, it starts as an adventure game and evolves into an RealTimeStrategy, it also has racing and shooting elements thrown in there as well, a nice combo IMO, also it has a little over 100 metal songs you can listen to while driving around you Deuce.
Most used Solo : Summon A Deuce, reason : the car suddenly vanishes after doing a secondary mission or isn't handy after a story related event >.>
Second most used Solo : Battle Cry! makes your soliders boosted and stronger, useless when getting the Rock Crusher, but yeah
Nice game, maybe a bit short, but it has a lot of collectibles to be found and I think the multiplayer could be fun, I don't get to try it while living on campus thou, the Firewall don't like xbox's.
- Devil May Cry 4
I didn't try it before now, shame on me, I liked the first DMC, kinda hated the second, didn't try the third and now I checked out the 4th because it was cheapTM

And I liked it, it was ok, I think it kind of managed to retake the feel that the first game had to some content, big bad bosses, hack and slash with some thinking involved (a little bit), cool design on monsters (hated the tanks in DMC2, they were lame) and an ok story, nothing special, but quite ok, probably don't have to say anything else about that game

- BorderLands
Ok, this game got me hooked, I quite like it! It is awesome!

Firstly, the genre, it's an RPS, or, and FPS with RolePlaying elements, it's kind of like an mix between say, FallOut 3 and maybe Diablo 2, you have 4 classes that are customizable with skill trees and the setting is some kind of MadMax the RoadWarrior setting, on an alien Planet, and the graphics is... special I guess, and the black humour is awesome, it gets quite hard further out in the story as well, I recommend

Also, I get a little feel of Battle Angel Alita from this game, but that might have something to do with that the old BAA was heavily inspired by MadMax, as well, you have the whole BadLands and maybe ScrapYard feel/mentality to it, just an connection I make perhaps, but that's probably part of why I like it

And thats the review/thoughts I have ATM, I could give them points but I mostly find that pointless as people have different opinions anyways and by that I give them 5 stars or not don't really matter, I think?
And, I should probably give it to things I've finished so probably like a 4 or something to both ToV and Brutal Legend

Hope you liked reading about my opinion on those games and have a nice day^^
See you around! Cheers!

I recall being on AA a few times this year ( barely, actually D: ) and seeing you there, so I thought you'd be on more than me, heheh
and meep, given the choice, I'd rather not go ( sounds horrible of me, but I'm really an incredibly quiet person, so in many ways, there's not much I can do in a chatroom
Well, if that`s the truth you should`nt go, I find it a bit amusing sometimes just to watch (and not say a thing =0 ) in the chat room thou, so I just have it on in the background or such
Anyways, glad to hear from you again, at least
